LIKE THE CIRCLES THAT YOU FIND IN THE WINDMILLS OF YOUR MIND

The arcs were stitched first but the largest and smallest were left until later.

All of the lines were covered in 4 mm wide black ribbon. It serves two purposes. It makes all the lines much more obvious so, hopefully, they will be easier to see in the pillar. It also tidies up the slightly uneven edges of the painting.

Then came the first set of curves …

… followed by the second set …

… and the radiating lines (except the two outer ones).

This left a lot of untidy ends so they were all trimmed off and covered by the final pieces of ribbon.

The surplus fabric was cut away, the edges were hemmed and the title was added..

We made a mock-up of the mirror pillar, from silver card. Hopefully the design will show more clearly in the real pillar.
